Build like Noah, ideas for indestructible houses
"Indestructible" houses? OK, close to indestructible. Aren't you tired of hearing people lost their belonging and even lives because their houses fail to protect them when disasters strike? What can we do to provide better shelters to the masses?
Idea Description
The world needs a better building method. Houses made of stick frames, although easy to construct, don't stand a chance when disaster strikes, like fire, flood, tornado, earthquake, and termites. My idea, houses built with steel frames or used containers, sitting on foundations constructed with used containers welded together. When flood occurs, the house simply floats with the foundation. Because the structure is held together with welds, it will withstand tornado and hurricane force. Needless to say, it is fire and termite proof. Best of all, there are a surplus of used containers, it will not cost much to build and it is recycling old materials.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Find a piece of land and build a prototype. I'll probably need a little more cash, but not much since the bulk of material is used surplus.
Vote for it now.

Q1: I'm not trained in architecture, I'll probably need advises from architects or someone who is familiar in the building trade.
nice idea. I've often thought of a way to have houses that would float and perhaps rise up on guide posts when flood waters rose. would have to have city utilities tethered in a way that would support it.
