Computers for Classrooms!
Computers for Classrooms will attempt to put at least 2 computers in every classroom in America! The main focus is and will be on Kindergarten and 1st Grade. Our children are the future!
Idea Description
We need to get the children of America educated with computer technology as early as possible. The sooner that our chilren have access to and can utilize computer technology, the better their chances are at future success. I have seen to many schools and districts that have little or no technology available to them. In other cases, you have 4-5 Kinderdarten Classes and 4-5 1st Grade Classes trying to use a small lab of 4-5 machines. Computers for Classrooms will gradually attempt to put two computers in ever Kindergarten and 1st Grade Class in America!
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
If Computers for Classrooms is rewarded $10k, I would use that money to initiate the web site development and fund a campaign to corporate america to request investments from towards our childrens future. There are so many corporate giants out there that could donate to an organization that will provide computers that will help our children learn. I would use all forms of communication in the is campaign, e-mail, snail mail and even in person requests. This reward could fund a great organization! Also, based on comments, I will work with corporations that are replacing machines and attempt to re-use there older machines.
Vote for it now.

Q1: What obstacles would you see if starting an organization of this nature?
I like your idea; I want to improve your odds of getting funding I will vote for your idea if you will vote for mine. My idea is for a web site that raises money for inventors and entrepreneurs called New Idea website Check out my idea blob submission and visit New Idea Website and see what I can do for you. http://www.ideablob.com/ideas/4060-NEW-IDEA-WEBSITE The need for jobs is one of the biggest problems that a democratic government faces because creating jobs is an unwanted byproduct of business and industry. The reason I say its unwanted is the more jobs a business creates the more its expenses are and the smaller it’s bottom-line. If business and industry have their way they would run their companies with no jobs at all no management or labor. To deal with this dilemma I pr…moreopose a federal venture capital carrot fund that literally pays entrepreneurs to create jobs. The investment bank would be expected invest in seed level startup projects like yours and to lose money at a specified dollar per jobs ratio for example during hard times that figure may be as high as $20,000 per job and good times the figure may be as low as five dollars per job, by controlling this ratio the fed could roughly control unemployment. The bank will be expected to fund novel products and services and stay away from things like restaurants that will simply draw jobs from other restaurants or moving factories from one part of the country to another. If you like this idea vote for it and send the congressional letter from the website. Sincerely Frank Scruggs
This is a great idea. Technology is not slowing down and we do not wnt our children to be behind.
Thanks for the additional commects and suggestions! I would appreciate as many more comments as possible. It will help me in attempting to get Computers for Classrooms started!
Thanks Jessy...that is a great idea! I will certaily consider that when this idea becomes a reality!
Partnerships. That's the ticket.
I agree with Jessy. My previous employer did the exact same thing. Whenever they upgraded the computers, they would donate the outdated machines (which were in good shape) to community schools. This helped the schools immensely.
great idea ... besides asking corporations to make investments ... how about asking corporations who replace their comps too early to give away their old ones (which are not really old) ... this is something that i have seen with my previous employer as well as current school ... they just got the comps replaced when there was really no need to ... i'm aware of this trend in the banking & financial services and IT sector ...
