Future Self Messages with Rich Media
This web site will allow visitors to send themselves messages in the future using text, audio, and/or video. It can be used to remind oneself of important goals, dates, events, or just for fun. Furthermore, users will also be able to send future messages to friends!
Idea Description
This is not a typical simple text reminder service. It will incorporate the use of rich media (text, html/css, audio, video, flash, etc). Users will be able to send messages for their future self or their friends and famliy in the future. Let's say today you receive a video message from yourself sent 2 years ago, asking how you are doing and remind you of the goals that you set 2 years ago, how cool would that be? You will be reminded to check the progress of your projects and if you have reached the goals set. There will be a community area which will allow users to show their message anonymously, if they choose to, and for others to view, rate and comment.

I will use the money to purchase a domain name, web hosting service and build the web site.

I knew someone who received a text on her birthday. It had special meaning because the sender had died in a tragic motorcycle accident three months prior. He had sent it through his mobile device for a future date. It said I Love YOU :)

There are a lot of uses.
I do this now through a communication package I have called communikate. i can set a reminder and select email or phonecall for notification. I tell the system when and then record the message. It is very handy. Can also go on the calendar in the web interface and create appointments or reminders that are sent to my cell phone to remind me.
