Idea Description
I want to debut my one-woman show, using some of the Characters from my upcoming books
Sisters of the Sahara Sand women of colors in different stages of life, and Tilting Toward Jackson
the saga of Solomon and Susanna in their early forties, taking care of senior family members stumbling through love, this is way to promote learning using the creative arts, singing,writing,
storytelling, promoting family histories, getting young people encouraged to read more, and a way for me to advertise upcoming creative projects like my children's picture book, CD.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
I would debut my one woman show, and then take it on the road to youth groups, schools,
writers groups, etc to promote writing, reading, music,have workshops on how to document
and preserve your family history using these skills, plan to produce one of the projects
in the Book, a group of young people who build housing for homeless teens as a independent
visual film project. Also plan to publish my work in English and Spanish especially Childern's picture book, Lyle the purple dragon and the blue-green valley school.
