  Randy, you are multi-talented and very creative! Until I read Toby's comments below, I didn't realize that your idea would leverage the characters from a book -- which opens up even more possibilities if you choose to allow the characters to explain, explore and examine the acts and their outcomes in each webisode.
  
  If you are going to capture real-life experiences of people (not just kids, right?) and interweaving them with animated characters, I think you might be sitting on a gold mine. This will definitely maximize your flexibility and content control.
  
  Additionally, the model of having an online product be made available as offline merchandise is very attractive as well. Would it be at all possible to consider taking some of the "best of" online content and recapturing them back into book format, since you are an advocate of reading?

  Great idea! My advice is focused on what I see are two distinct target audiences -your end users the children who will watch your programs and the adults who will influence the viewing.
  
  Target Audience 1
  Since your program is based on a kid's book I am assuming that your targeted audience is children.
  Question: What is the age of range of your audience? There is a big difference in content for a 4-year old versus a 10-year old.
  Suggestion: Define the age range of your targeted audience.
  Suggestion: Based on your defined segment, create a "safe" age appropriate website where children can go to "play" with the characters and concepts. It can also house clips of your podcast/webcast (I assume you mean videos?). Age appropriate content could include: games, stories about the characters, downloadable coloring pages, contests. Include RSS on pages that are updated.

  Although the content of…more your programming will be developed for children, as you indicated caretakers (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles) and teachers will play an important role in encouraging viewership.
  
  This concept is perfect to leverage social media to continue the conversations, among adults, that your program is sure to initiate. It will also give you an opportunity to develop relationships with a critical audience. Bonus although there is a time/people resource cost associated with the following tactics there are no hard costs.
  
  Suggestion: Consider launching a blog that supports each of your programs. You can build posts around value added information and help care takers/teachers continue learning about the best ways to present the lessons. You can use your blog to highlight the people in your programs on a level that would be of interest to an adult audience.
  
  Suggestion: The blogosphere is comprised of many, what I call 'little villages' based on interests. For example there are 'villages' comprised of teachers, moms, and even aunts. Consider reaching out to bloggers who would have a natural interest in your programs. You can find bloggers by searching in Google for the topic e.g., "mommy blogs" or "education blogs."   Suggestion: Consider developing a Facebook group about the topic. It's another way to create awareness and distribute content.

  Have you thought of teaming up with actsofkindness.org? Maybe they would be willing to syndicate your podcasts on their homepage, or maybe you could link to each other, etc... Personally, I like the idea of focusing on "anonymous" acts of Niceness to also encourage the idea that being "nice" or "kind" feels even better when it's not about receiving credit for it. Ironically, I think that with the anonymity of the internet, people are becoming less "nice" to each other in general, and this program can be an important reminder to value our human connections. Good luck! (PS- I love the little green guy in your logo. I can picture it hanging over the walls of elementary schools across the country!)
