Q1: Finding a "Chemo Cabin" home!
Idea Description
"Chemo Cabin" is the name my home got when my best friend came to stay with me every other week to rest and have her in home chemo infusions. She is 35 and has terminal colorectal cancer. She was so grateful I was able to provide her with this "home away from home" where she could relax and not worry about cooking, house cleaning or her young daughter's possible exposure to chemo. We dreamed of being able to provide a "Chemo Cabin" to others undergoing cancer treatment. I was able to cook for her, keep her spirits up and my dogs offered her loving pet therapy. She has often spoke of starting a fund to get a "Chemo Cabin" started and that is her dream, but she does not have the energy anymore

"Chemo Cabin" here we come!! Find a place for chemo cabin and get started with the process of opening a facility where cancer patients can come relax, rejuvenate and not worry about cooking or housework when they have no energy or are so sick. This will not be a nursing facility. This will be a not for profit facility. Both myself and my best friend have close contacts with another non-profit cancer fundraiser which we have participated in and I am sure they would support and help us with making our dream come true. Pet therapy is a must. Music is healing for the soul, we have found. We feel this is so important, especially for those with cancer who have no support system! GO CHEMO CABIN!!!

The bank will be expected to fund novel products and services and stay away from things like restaurants that will simply draw jobs from other restaurants or moving factories from one part of the country to another. I love this idea! There are so many cancer patients who would love to have a nice bed-and-breakfast type destination where they can relax while undergoing their treatment. You've got my vote!
