Idea Description
My idea is to offer Postpartum care for new mother's This is not a new concept, it is being done in Europe and other countries. Just imagine new parents, sent home from the hospital with their new precious baby. Baby wakes up.... won't stop crying.... they have tried everything.... nothing works. This is how many bsbies are injured just because the parents don't have any tools to help soothe their baby. That's where I come in. I offer non-judgemental support and companionship. Help with the emotional and physical recovery from childbirth. I provide breast feeding assistance. Light household tiding and run errands. Baby sooting techniques and coping skills for the new parents.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Right now I am driving at times 45 minutes one way to my pospartum visits. With the price of gas, any profits I make are being ate up by the cost of gas. I would invest in a more economical car. I would like to be able to advertize on my car as well. So invest in a sign or advertizment on the back of my car window.
I would also invest in promotional pamplets to educate the community on this service for new parents. Also put together a professional binder to explain my services and client testimonals.
Set up training in the community to help other mom's like me the opportunity to be trained to do the job.
Afford to travel to seminars that would advance my knowledge in this field.

I think you can begin by posting brochures about your services in place like the hospital waiting rooms, infact clothing retailers and other such places where all parents visit for sure.
