Idea Description
Brewed by You will be more than a homebrew supply store. I feel the average person will not start homebrewing because of the initial expense and, aside from books, there are very few educational outlets for initial brewing. In the store front location, you will be able to come in, buy supplies, and make your first few (or all your brews) on the premises. From learning, brewing and fermenting to bottling, filtering and chilling; it can all be done inside one location. There will be meetings, tastings, and a “brew club” to discuss the history and offer each others insight. Who knows…within this location, the next Sam Adams, Budweiser, or Blue Moon could very well be Brewed by You!
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
What if I win the $10K? First I would be very grateful for all those who voted for me and supported my idea. The first financial step would be to find a perfect location. There are a few locations I have in mind and I am working with the Small Business Development Center in my hometown to complete the breakeven analysis for these areas. I also will be reaching out to vendors and potential lenders to supply products and cover the remaining expenses.

The investment bank would be expected invest in seed level startup projects like yours and to lose money at a specified dollar per jobs ratio for example during hard times that figure may be as high as $20,000 per job and good times the figure may be as low as five dollars per job, by controlling this ratio the fed could roughly control unemployment. The bank will be expected to fund novel products and services and stay away from things like restaurants that will simply draw jobs from other restaurants or moving factories from one part of the country to another.
