User Generated Do-It-Yourself Website Based on Increasing A Homes' Value Without Hiring Professionals
What advice do you have to help me grow my idea?
Idea Description
Instead of a site where PROFESSIONALS go to post information on home renovation and upgrades, this site will be used by NORMAL people taking ideas and sharing them. The focus would be user generated content based on upgrading housing values. Users can include video of doing the upgrades, they can show their thought processes, and interact with other users to problem solve. Users will be able to search by category, job description, or just browse through recent additions. The goal of the site would be to increase the value of everyone's home without paying professionals to accomplish the same thing.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
I would hire someone to build the website. We would develop the different areas based on the look in my mind. Then we would launch the website. Think Wikipedia meets DIY Network meets Google.
