these groups are made of members across the globe. It's entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer (them's good people). Membership is free.

freecycle is great. are there sites out there that let you categorize items? I'm thinking of a craigslist, but with the freecycle philosophy.
to be honest, i havent been looking for any but i'm sure they are out their. go to bfree4all and post your question in the befreecafe section alot of people hang out their and maybe someone or everyone can keep an eye out for websites like the one your looking for. you can do the same with Freecycle.
