Get rid of Gas for Good.
Get rid of Gas for Good.
Idea Description
Encourage every driver to switch to Diesel vehicles and run their cars on 100% WVO (Waste Vegetable Oil), Cars that are not Diesel could make use of Hydrogen fuel cells, and homes could
be partially powered by 100% Bio-diesel diesel generators. This is not possibilities of a distant future, these are options available NOW.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Become a lobbyist and get the political powers that be behind new laws to govern in change.
Use the system to fight the system as it were.
Vote for it now.

Q1: Educating the county on the possibilities that exist and dispell myths about bio-diesel, the viability of soy crops as oil, the inefectiveness of ehtanol and the safety of hydrogen.

You like it. You’re confused by it. You want to know more. Ask questions and post comments here.
Post a commentDoesn't lessen the oil still have its triglycerides and don't those triglycerides damage engines this idea will work if the oil is processed into Bio diesel there are wonderful breakthroughs on the horizon for the use of algae to produce Bio diesel this will prevent the unwanted load on the food supply I like this idea sustainability is what we need I think this idea will do some good and have already voted for it if my idea for a federally funded venture capital carrot fund succeeds my idea may be able to help you fund your idea check out my idea and vote for it if you think it has merit http://www.ideablob.com/ideas/4060-Fund-your -idea.com sincerely Frank Scruggs
MikeMikeF, I know there are issues with hydrogen, just as I stated in my comments above, but to write off hydrogen is a big mistake. 2nd Hydrogen would have to be produced using green technology in order for it to be viable, then those alleged carbon footprints you mention simply do not apply. ONE 18W solar panel can produce hydrogen gas ALL DAY LONG. You can youtube solar hydrogen production, of course seeing IS believing. That leaves the problem of compressing the gases, like I said, we have some stuff to figure out still, but to discount hydrogen would be the biggest mistake the world EVER makes. Your site references way too much BIG MOTOR CORP propaganda. You are a systems engineer, so you might see things differently. Thanks for your comments regardless, and I hope people d…moreo read BOTH sides to this debate, including all the fine information you have provided.
Ethanol can be a temporary answer like in Brazil because they use sugar cane to make ethanol. The reason is works is that sugar cane has more than enough energy to distill the ethanol by burning the left over material.
Hydrogen is not good! I am a retired engineer. We lose even more energy with hydrogen and go broke trying to pay the oil multinational corporations! See: The Hydrogen Car Hoax at http://knol.google.com/k/michael-foster/the-hydrogen-car-hoax/2on0cj1ivesbw/2#
Yes! Let's get rid of gas for good!! This is so true! My husband is a cinematographer and he did a TV series called "Cool Fuel Road Trip" which explored all kinds of alternative energies to fuel our vehicles, and solutions are out there... Best of luck to you!
Hi Calmguy3, Hydrogen is good, but right now it has some problems, for one you got the big auto companies making everybody believe it requires hydrogen made from their companies (they want the oil company situation all over again) when this simply is not true. 2nd is efficiency, right now hydrogen fuel cells just wont cut it alone, that not to say you cant run a car entirely with a hydrogen fuel tank. GoogleVideo - hydrogen multi fuel there is an excellent DVD rip on there about it. Safety is not an issue with hydrogen when using the new modern fuel tanks that several companies are now offering to the public. This is why we need lobbyist in the government to compete with the lobbyist from the auto and oil industries, otherwise the politicians will keep getting just one sid…moree of the picture!
BTW duckling Ethanol wont work in the USA, because we dont have thousands of acres of sugar cane, we have corn fields, which we need to produce food and not ethanol with. Ethanol is LESS fuel efficient so it requires more GAS to go the same distance. So Ethanol is NOT the answer.
Dendasil: GREEN gases need to be made in GREEN factories. Right now they arent so your statement is half true. Carbon emissions are less with ANY green fuel, so what is your data supporting your statement?
