Idea Description
THE PROBLEM: Energy wasted by cars designed as they are now is staggering - not to mention the pollution produced. Thousands of pounds of metal, plastic, rubber and people must be brought to a halt every time a traffic light changes to red; then must be re-accelerated, causing a huge energy loss. Electric cars are attractive, but people are afraid of inconvenience and distance ability.
THE SOLUTION: A quiet, efficient electric car which uses a combination of fuel cell, solar energy and grid charging that would have 3 ways to"fuel up", making it convenient. Energy from stopping would be recycled back into the battery banks as the drive motors on the wheels become generators at every signal.

Have you seen the AIR CARS? They use compressed air that can be replaced at an air "filling" station. Also, on some models, the air tank can be filled with an on-board gas-powered compressor. Gets silly high -mpg!!
