Idea Description
As sustainability is the core of future global energy demand, efficiency is the road map. Electric vehicles are 2-4 times as efficient as internal combustion engines. Most car companies are wasting weight with hybrid systems that people don't want to use. Public interest has had a hard time accepting small futuristic models in the US. Given our need to move vehicles at highway speeds with multiple passengers, the current size and design is preferable. With www.AfterOilEV.com I plan to convert and market inexpensive electric vehicles. FOR THE REST OF US.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
With emphasis on clean electric sources I plan to convert a small coupe, possibly a Honda Civic and bring it to market. I am also looking to partner with wind, solar and alternative energy small businesses. Progress can be followed at www.AfterOilEV.com
Vote for it now.

Did I read about this somewhere?
Using electric cars is one of the best ways to help the enviroment.I support your efforts
I've taken 'Lock's' advice and will convert a Honda instead of my S10 with the winning prize money. If you'd prefer small hybrid pedal bikes for maximum efficiency please visit my good friends at UrbanScooters.com. My S10 will be my work vehicle, able to transport large items I'll need for my business.
Hey you should look into capacitors for your idea...i dont know how far they have come, but there was a company in CA trying to design i micro-capacitor that would store enough electricity to run a car and could be charged in just a few minutes

I'd love to use ultra capacitors, that's if EEStor would release any info on what they're cooking up.
