Do work you love, get paid, contribute to solving world hunger!
Idea Description
AggieLance is a company designed to help freelance professionals market specifically the vast audience of the agriculture industry. This web service has no charge to sign up or bid on projects. Once a company posts a project (at not cost as well) freelancers, contractors, microbusinesses, people that love what they do, bid on it. To the winner goes the project. Upon completion and payment 2% of the project budget goes to fight world hunger, and 8% goes to AggieLance. We chose to donate 2% in the fight for world hunger because of our passion to help less fortunate peopple. It also fits within the agricultural context of our company.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
First, we'd celebrate! Then we would put it into action through some key marketing initiatives. We might add a few more functions to our website. Mostly we'd be looking to expand our presence on the net as the central hub for freelance contractors and agribusinesses.
Vote for it now.

Q1: So, now that we have a business, and our website is just about to go live, I find myself encountering potential investors. One in particular will trade services for part ownership. But, since we haven't made any money yet...how do I value the idea? How do we determine percent ownership? Perplexed
My advice is to edit the above where it states that you are in startup.
First thing I learned in business is that there isn't any law stating that you have to go advertising to everyone that you are a newbie.
Act credible and ye shall receive credibility.
