  This is becoming a VERY crowded field. I've seen tons of personal, business and life coaches popping up all over the country and online.
  
  First--You need to have a USP (Unique Selling Proposition). What sets you apart from the other coaches. Do you have any formal training or certification? Do you have a current list of clients who are your passionate advocates?
  
  Having these items will certainly make your company more attractive to potential investors. I'm guessing you don't have any business assets to use as collateral...which makes it much harder to go to a bank these days for a loan or line of credit. You will probably have to go either the "friends & family" route or an Angel Investor.
  
  As with everyone who is out there looking for money, your business plan must be as tight as a drum. Can you clearly articulate your vision, strategic goals and operational plans? Because, in all honesty, you don't have "definite proof" that your funding will follow. You are certainly "confident" in your plan and in your abilit…moreies, but there is still inherent risk that your best laid plans might not come to fruition.
  
  When talking to investors, make sure you don't over-promise or over-sell your plans. I think potential investors would be very happy with a solid single (maybe you leg it out into a double) versus someone swinging for the fences...those people tend to strike out a lot.
  
  Have a good, detailed plan which clearly outlines your strategy for 2009, including contingency plans (did anyone see 2008 hitting us as hard as it did?) and I think you just might find the funding you require.

  I suggest you start googling for keywords, and seeing what kind of niche communities, blogs, or blog posts you can find in relation to this idea. Then, I would get involved in that community, andpoint them to this webpage, asking for their feedback and suggestions. I bet that there are a lot of people out there who would be willing to give you their vote for this idea, along with the feedback you are looking for.
  
  Another place you could start searching for keywords is on technorati.com. that is where you will find tons of blogs / blog posts related to this idea. Give it a try and see if it works.
