Jewelry for special occasions and allergy prone people
Jewelry for special occasions and allergy prone people
Idea Description
To provide jewelry and accessories for those who are allergic to metals as I am and cannot wear anything fake as well as for those special occasions when a one of a kind piece is needed that fits your personality such as for proms or weddings and wedding parties. My jewelry pieces will be one of a kind at a high quality and high value due to a decent price point.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Add the $10K to my current investment of $10K to ensure all startup materials are available. The money will ensure that any initial vendor setup costs and licensing/business fees can be paid. In total, the $20K should allow me to start the business without being in debt.

Q1: My first challenge is a slowing economy. Jewelry is a disposable income item. I would like have some feedback on the best way to overcome this major factor. Teens will always want to go to the prom and people will continue to get married even in times of slow economy so the opportunity exists.
While jewlery may be a luxury good (as in sales slow in economic downturns), it will always be in demand. What you need to decide now is where you want your price point to be in the future. Is it a low cost offering? Is it a luxury good? Don't think about the current situation, think of the future. Price today the way you would if it were five years in the future.
