Idea Description
Vocal Cords is a non-profit organization that focuses on gathering old computer, telephone and other wires and converting them to cash by harvesting the valuable metal inside. That cash would then go to helping Humanitarian efforts in the US. We would focus on donating no less than 70% of the money we gather to help those efforts raise awareness and funds and the remaining %30 would go to running the organization.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Donated to our non-profit so far: Full Custom Web Site, SEO, Web Updates(1yr), Warehouse Space, Email Blast (1yr-4p/month), office space, 2 PC's, various office supplies.
Vocal Cords would first have to establish a great brand. We have a competent design company that will design a logo and stationary for $400 flat. $600 will be spent on the purchase of email lists to help us get the word out. $2000 dollars will go to helping us to secure materials for drop-off locations around the Dallas/Ft Worth area(base city). $2000 will be reserved for shipping cost to our warehouse. $2000 will go to printed material. The remaining $3000 will go to general operating expenses.

We just had a large amount of technology(computers etc) hauled away, but the school had to pay for it, I think this would be a great thing if the school could dispose of technology items to charity without having extra costs added, both parties would benefit. Good luck with your work.
