XainGO! art dance theatre
XainGO! art dance theatre
Idea Description
I am developing a new form of visual as theatre that is very exciting and designed to generate interest in both visual art and theatre for young audiences. Secondly, it is being designed as a program to help to create an economic impact in a depressed economy that is losing its main financial backbone. We are developing an artists community and network by reaching out to the schools in the local community to give kids exposure and experience in professional arts. Additionally we are trying to create an economic impact to the city by bringing new business into town to view our shows. What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
We will be using this money to create a stipend for all the young students and mentors that we bring into this program. That way the apprentices can see an actual financial reward from working in an arts related field. We are doing all we can to dispel the myth of the starving artist. There are ways to make a living as an artist if you are enterprising enough. We will also use the money to purchase supplies and build the sets for our show scheduled for later this summer.
Vote for it now.

Q1: This is a VERY difficult economy for anybody working in an arts related field. Money is tight for everybody, and we are viewed purely as a luxury item regardless of our artistic impact. Arts is a very important gauge for a civilization, and should not be overlooked or cut from a budget.
Hey... I tried to check out your video on youtube, but for some reason it kept freezing every two seconds so I couldn't watch it. What I did see though, I thought looked pretty interesting. You should search on ideablob for misnomer dance. He was a winner a couple of months ago, and he heads a really different, interesting dance troupe. Check him out, and fix that video! I really want to see your concept.
I really see it as a non-profit, with its educational and community outreach mission, but I am hoping that in time, there is a for profit arm of the organization, as the theatre company grows. I would love to see a home based and traveling theatre company.
Do you envision it as a non-profit or for profit organization?
