Q1: the most important thing is to get the word out about how critical this problem really is. I think at times since we see good schools and good students and some people making a great living we forget exactly how many more kids are essentially left behind. we must get the word out!
Idea Description
My idea is to start a non-profit that will aid our children with essential school supplies. Everyday it gets more and more expensive to live in this country of great opporunity, housing goes up, car prices go up, food, water and basic needs all rise thus creating more and more low income families which unfortunately can not provide the basic essentials for their children to thrive in school. Our goverment seems to be going into deeper debt by the minute, cutting the funds for our children to have the ability to learn. I am making my lifes purpose to supply as many children as i and my team can with what they need to make a better life for themseleves. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
The majority of the monies will be used as seed funding with some portion allocated to marketing..ie, radio, direct mailing, signs and billboards. The rest will also be used for having us the first to make a contribution to a school on our orginizations behalf.
Listen, I know this isn't some new innovative idea, but I believe it's one of the most important facing our nation today...Our kids ARE the future and we need to make sure they are well off.
