Idea Description
Create an animation studio where kids can create their own movies, artists can work as interns to gain experience in the media, and kids can gain a useful and empowering skill. We would offer community outreach programs to teach computer and animation skills to those who would normally have no access to computers. We would also be a working animation studio, involving the working artists and students at an advanced level. We would provide studio space for the artists involved with a requirement of 10 hrs a week studio time. We would hold exhibitions and screenings as well.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Rent a space in North Brooklyn & purchase insurance, computers, cameras and art supplies-- send out ads, create a website, meet with schools, art colleges, & local organizations. Interview artists.
