Idea Description
THE USELESS PROJECT is dedicated to helping people to use less and give more. In the developed world we consumers have learned how to use it, dump it and forget it. In doing so we are depleting the Earth's natural resources and causing damage to the environment while many in the developing world are going without such fundamental things as clean drinking water. We are creating a line of products, each branded USELESS, that help people use less, so protecting the environment, with all profits go to fund Third World water projects. The products include reusable drinking bottles, clothing made from recycled plastic bottles and bags made from old rubber tires.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
We will use the money to build an e-commerce website from which to sell the products.

Q1: Sourcing well-designed products made in the USA from recycled materials that are utilitarian in design and function.
Would you be interested in working with only vendors who demonstrate "green" principles? Such as, I'm a weaver, I'd be interested in developing fabric lines using recycled materials and subsequent clothing lines designed from them. Would you be interested in talking to me about this?
OK, thanks for the comment, let me clarify. We will be selling products that are either made from recycled materials or ones that help people reduce their energy use - for example a courier bag made from recycled tires, or a reusable water bottle - so using less. All profits are used to fund water projects in developing countries.
It's a little unclear to me what it is you're selling.
Love the name - very creative.
