Idea Description
A set-top box such that you can push a button and send $.05 to whatever charity represents relief for the disaster currently being portrayed on TV (the local news, a TV show, whatever). Next time a forest fire hits, or a child is kidnapped, millions of outraged viewers can do something about it.

I really like this idea! It is simple and I like the idea of giving such a small amount, often times people want to make a difference but can't afford the $25 or $100 option. Pennies, Nickles, and Dimes times a million all add up quickly. Maybe even punch in a code with the remote, people can serve right from their own coach, this may turn the couch potato into the couch philanthropist. Please keep in touch we will be needing a service like this to help Seven Still Waters. Let me do some digging and see what other advice I can pass over I really want to see this idea take off. Maybe a website that performs the same function would be easier to develop than a TV plug-in.
Donations of nickels and dimes are great in hard currency, but in this case what would the transactions cost? Credit card companies as well as banks…or others… may eat up most of the donations.
