The Read-Aloud Storytime Center will be a new division of an existing children’s book publishing company http://www.leapingantelope.com.
Idea Description
Dads and Moms will be able to drop their children off at this colorful, unique, educational center at a prearranged time for 2-3 hours. Unlike a daycare center, the benefit to parents is that it’s a temporary educational program that entertains their children while an errand is being run, such as grocery shopping. At the center, children will listen to great stories being read by local authors, they’ll see illustrators at their craft and they’ll participate in plays and games. The benefit to children is that they will learn and have fun at the same time and every child will leave the center with a special book or toy to take home. Benefit to authors/artists will be to share their talents.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
If I win the $10K, I will conduct an informal feasibility study for the location and then launch the business with targeted advertising in local newspapers, community bulletins
and local parent organizations. I will budget $1000 to beautify the interior of the proposed space with child-friendly and eco-friendly materials. I will purchase $2000 of books and educational games, including books my company is in the process of creating. The remaining budget will go toward the rent, utilities and operating expenses to launch the business.
Vote for it now.

Think of it, this assists parents, educates/entertains their children, and promotes local authors and keep the community in awe as they decide to pictch in and help. Hooray!
