Idea Description
An after hours medical hotline to give comfort to people who want an immediate consultation and or confirmation of a personal problem. Doctors on call 24hrs a day will be available to give out their professional opinion in regards to the callers problem. This service will be a life saver in the event of a silent killer such as chest pain. This service will be more popular at night after the normal business hours of General Practitioners. To the concerned mother of a child with a fever, this hotline would be peace of mind.

What kind of advise would be given somebody who was having chestpain??? ... some chestpains mimic major cardiac problems for which a person should be RUSHED to the emergency room. Others have chestpain thinking they should go to the emergency room, yet a hotpad and some rest will do it, e.g. former car seatbelt choking during accident -chostochondritis. Chostochondritis can only be confirmed after thousands of dollars of in-hospital nuclear cardiac testing, where chest muscles surrrounding the heart area have formerly been 'sprained'. Sounds like your crucial information for this service needs to come from the physician network whom you would employ or be employed by. It also sounds like there are LIABILITY ISSUES which you should look into with sustaining a medical legalities attorne…morey staff. Thank you for your comment! Your point is very serious and accurate. I have thought of situations as such. There are certain situations where the immediate response is to tell the caller to dial 911 and be rushed to an ER. I am not a doctor nor do I pretend to be, I just think that at 1am when all physicians are in bed at home and unreachable, there is someone qualified out there to talk to about my cough or my itch or my increasing loss of hair. Whatever personal problem someone may want to know a little more about. This is NOT a diagnosis of symptoms, but merely additional information of an already diagnosed problem.
Great idea! It reduces overhead and provides serive when needed, this should be something that should be consided for all those that might not be able to afford service. You can purchase liability insurance that should cover most issues. This is kind of like FAST FOOD heatlh care instead of SIT DOWN, but if you make it a FAST FOOD place like SUBWAY and not some others, now we're talking the best of both worlds. You get the nutrition or in this care health care at the right price.
