The problem:
a normal bookshelf cannot hold all the books you own.

multiple books, or bookshelves can not match desired layout/style of a space, eg apartment, small bookstore

A bookshelf, but with X00 e-ink(or whatever technology is best) data powered monitors that are the size of real-life books. Show your amazon.com favorites as books... let people browse the books (each little monitor), seeing the title , description, and other browsable featues people like to review (flip page feature for inside the book). Have on master control that lets you sort the X,000 books by genre , or just flip to the next page of x100 by incrementing all visible titles to the next batch of x
