What advice do you have to help me grow my idea?
Idea Description
Its proactive recycling. Instead of obtaining all our metals from mining companies and relying on the few scrap recyclers out there to bring the resources to them, why not have the large steel corporations just retrieve existing tons of "pre-owned" materials right from our known collection areas a.k.a. dumps & landfills! Its only been in recent years that recycling was made cost effective, and there are thousands of locations that we've piled our old trash into giant uninhabited mountains of unseparated glass, plastics, wood & metals. Starting with the metals, they can extract via giant electromagnet.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
I'd pay off my Advanta Card bill. Regarding this idea, the next step would be locating all the waste locations. Best way that could be done is by contacting local govt municipalities. After they've been charted, we go to a company like Nucor (an example of a scrap steel recycler) and show them where the money is at! Its buried treasure. Literally.
