Idea Description
"Green" information is most often found in nature center environments. I would like to start a science museum dedicated to ecologically sustainable technology. This museum would include interactive exhibits sponsored by businesses that research, develop, and manufacture green technologies. The exhibits would showcase products such as solar panels, geo-thermal heating and cooling systems, wind energy, building products, passive solar architecture, recycling products, transportation, etc… The Green Science Center would also give workshops dedicated to helping people enrich their lives and save the planet through sustainable living.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
ExPrT Exhibits (http://www.ExPrT.com) will purchase certified green building materials to fabricate an exhibit prototype.
Once it is complete, we will offer an opportunity for Green businesses to win the exhibit in a contest. They will use the exhibit for a corporate museum or to sponsor a green exhibit in an existing museum. We will also market the prototype to other Children’s Museums, Science Centers, Zoos and Nature Centers and build green exhibits throughout the United States. With the revenue generated from these sales, and additional corporate sponsorship, we will help sponsor the Center with an existing sustainable community group.
