Transform the Banking Industry
Transform the Banking Industry
Idea Description
Banking. Who could imagine a more established sector? What if a new type of bank account was created out of the blue? As we all know, there is little difference between banks. Checking accounts are free, and all credit cards have nearly identical interest rates and use “points” of some type to compete for consumers. Presently, banks are not fundamentally distinguishable. We have patented a new type of bank account, by patenting the transaction methods, that will increase the convenience of banking.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
The patent attorney we have retained has conducted research and has filed a provisional patent application to reserve a filing date of August 2007. To file the non-provisional application, which he is confident will be granted as a patent, will cost about $5000. The value of the patent will be determined by a banking/finance attorney, and her research has been quoted at also about $5000. With $10,000 these two professionals will do their work to file the IP and to determine the value of the new account to the consumer banking industry.
Vote for it now.

Q1: Ideablob users:
How can I publish the details of my ideas, and protecting them at the same time? This business idea requires a level of prudent public disclosure, but to vote for this idea it would be helpful to have a better understanding of the core concepts.
By publishing your idea on the web, you automatically receive provisional copyright protection. You don't have to file patent protection. Do some research on this and you'll find that the simple act of putting your thoughts to "paper" on the web gives you far more legal protection than you might think.
Yeah, IdeaBlob doesn't give any information how to protect their idea. It's a pity that there is not much solution for this.
