I would try and weigh your population's interest. There are a few venues in NYC that allow musicians to play their music and sell CDs. The owner gets the cover charge to maintain the space.

Are you planning on serving alcohol? If you are there are plenty of hurdles with liquor licensing and being on the second floor with intoxicated folks could be a liability within itself.

Idea Description

An art and music venue featuring a bar/lounge, live performance space and dance floor, gallery space and banquet hall in Greenfield, Massachusetts. The space is located above a popular restaurant in a new and upcoming area. The building is old and beautiful, full of character and potential to add life to a thriving arts community with no where else to go.

What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?

Give construction the green light, prepare logistics with our attorney and obtain permits, design the bar, spread the word!
