Idea Description
Most residential meters do not allow consumers to get real time cost information on their energy usage. A handheld, enhanced calculator would track and save readings, dates, etc. The consumer would merely enter in the current energy reading and get a cost report. Example: $27 in energy usage since last reading. The calculator would be programmed with franchise taxes and other hidden charges to provide an accurate estimate. You could track your costs by hour, day or week. You would really know when you are burning kilowatts - never be surprised by a bill.
