Q1: Marketing this idea. I know plenty of people who might be interested in participating, but how do I get the word out?
Idea Description
The Zombie Apocolypse Simulation would be a gigantic paintball course with a horrifying twist. Individuals or groups would pay to hunt and be hunted in a large, outdoors course. The external environment will be designed to look post-apocalyptic with various urban building ruins and frightening traces of an epidemic zombie infestation. The course will also have a staff of experienced paintballers that are costumed and made-up to look and act like zombies. The groups of individuals will rent the course for one day, and upon entering the grounds, they will be immediately enveloped in a rich world of simulation.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
I will first find a creative consultant to help me design the course and visualize various possibilities to make the course innovative, such as tunneling underground, using different terrains to challenge the participant, and creating backdrops and stunning visuals to create a rich and realistic playing environment. I also have a team of around eight people that have previously built large paintball courses--I would hire them and begin work on finding a lot to establish the project.

Given the concept, I would forgo traditional marketing and advertising in favor of something bigger and more dramatic. One option would be to run a contest with either a local radio or television station for free admission for the inaugural event. You would have to make sure that people are aware that even if you don't win the contest, passes will be available. You should also contact as many media outlets as possible to publicize the story. If you were able to get this off the ground, you would definitely attract local, national and, possibly, international media attention.
