Software architect co-op
Software architect co-op
Idea Description
Our idea is for a software developement co-op. Programmers are hired and paid hourly for their work. Programmers work in their home with flexible hours, making family a first priority. The company would provide initial start-up hardware and software for communication and to check in code remotely to a single server. With no office space to maintain and no "owner" taking a cut, a higher percentage of the hourly rate goes right into the hands of the programmer. Unlike being self-employeed, the programmer has access to group health insurance and other benefits, plus is backed by the company name.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
We would incorporate as an S-corp, hire initial employees and get them started in their homes. We already have work available! We would also just be hourly paid employees of the company, not "owners" taking a cut. Eventually we would hire more employees and branch out to other cities.
Vote for it now.

What advice do you have to help me grow my idea?
How is this different (to the client) from services like elance or guru.
