Karate School -- Girl Style
Karate School -- Girl Style
Idea Description
Too many women live in fear of being attacked. Far too many women have been attacked, and were unable to defend themselves. I am a female martial artist with 27 years of experience. Using the knowledge that I have acquired, I would like to form a women's only karate school. My women's karate school will teach women that they can defend themselves and how to defend themselves. Simultaneously, the classes will bolster the women's self-confidence, self-respect, strength, and flexibility.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Since I already have the training necessary to implement this idea, the first, and most important step, will be for me to find a space to rent for the school. I will look for a space that is easily accessible for women of all stripes.
Secondly, prior to the grand-opening, I will ensure that all necessary equipment is in place, that I have a good insurance plan, that all renovations are taken care of, and that I have the support of local "Outreach" centers in case a victim comes to me for assistance that I am unable to provide.
Vote for it now.

This is a really great idea! I wish someone would do something like this in New Zealand. I trained in Kung Fu for a while last year but I found the training style to impersonal for me. I think it very much caters for the guys... I wish there was somewhere that would make training supportive and friendly. It kind of like the women's only gym (Contours) which is awesome by the way... its just so much more... safe?
