What advice do you have to help me grow my idea?
Idea Description
Meterstick isn’t user friendly device to measure length of smooth surface. You must have enough width to put meterstick over surface and need concentration to find exact number on meterstick. It cannot help you to calculate other measurement (area, contour) and marking surface. Pen-type meter (a digital device formed in pen) calculates length (also contour, area, angle) with optical interface like optical mouse and shows selected value (length, angle, area) in oled screen. It can work all light reflected surfaces. A microcontroller calculates distance and angle by comparing changing at images of surface by taken cmos sensor mounted front side.
