Educational Social Network - Peers teaching Peers
Idea Description
Although there are hundreds of social networks I have yet to find a single platform focused solely on education. My idea is a social network devoted solely to education, an emphasis is placed on peers teaching peers. Some features; able to submit notes and study guides in various formats to be rated and used by peers, able to organize study groups by various categories, able to sell used class materials to students, site recommends new "study buddies" based on their education parameters. I have dozens of other ideas. You learn more from your peers!
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
I would begin by recruiting a company, or additional help, to code and develop a platform and layout for the site. I would use the funding to secure the necessary materials to market and develop the site then launch it. Any remaining funds would be used to maintain and develop the platform with the intention of creating an open-source or GNU licensed platform for online education and social networking.
