early-stage funding information in video snippets
early-stage funding information in video snippets
Idea Description
I believe that early-stage funding process could be made vastly more efficient for both entrepreneurs and angels, if some basic information was better understood; eg about terminology, valuations, deal terms, what angels look for in a deal, etc. I started Tech Coast Angels in Southern California; now it is the largest angel group. I want to convert my workshops to video snippets. I got the idea from Professor Richard Mckenzie (UCI Paul Merage B-School) who converted his economics lectures to 3-5 minute video snippets with exceptional results - students learned more; his office hours for consultation dropped to zero.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Convert a lot of the workshops I have done to video snippets, and create a website for them.
Vote for it now.

Q1: Would this be useful to the general community?
What should be in that website, besides the video snippets? Blog? Q&A forum? what else?
I think this could be great. You could expand it to where it would be used in colleges across the world. You could also start a seminar based off these videos. To add a note: could you poss. advise on my idea? http://ideablob.com/ideas/1459-Web-Based-Charity-T-A-G-Turni
Be sure to consider putting the videos to good RSS use on your site. Also, many educators now list their lectures on iTunes for free. Lastly, check in with your local cable company that may have some bandwidth for some free on-demand content. Until a good IPTV solution leaps forward, I would think these would be the best (and possibly free) ways to distribute your clips.
Great idea. To be usefull you need a great system to find the snippets; index, TableOfContents, and cross links. You may want to transcribe the video to text also. This would help deaf and some other disabled entrepreneurs. Please link to other sites of interest (there are many.)
there should be no paper currency.Only plastic money and internet use for funds transfer. It will bring transparency, and result into no corruption, no blackmoney,no terrorism, no stealing, no kidnapping,no crimes reg, money.all should nite worldwide to promote plastic cards or internet use.
Excellent idea. I worked with a local Philadelphia based small business group a few years ago and they all felt one of the toughest things for a start-up is understanding the process and jargon. Entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs could easily educated themselves on the web. I like it!
