How to make an Informed decision regarding cancer for your life or the life of a loved one.
Idea Description
One place where a cancer patient or a loved one can go to be educated on what all of your options are. This site would house information on medication assistance programs, doctors, various modalities and research centers throughout the globe. You would no longer have to pray that you talk to the right doctor who might know how to access a grant that would give you free medication. It would be on this site, along with the information on how to send your blood to Greece and have it tested to see what your cancer cells respond to.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Obtain a web domain and hire a web designer. Since this is something I have been living and breathing for the past 6 months, I would then contact the wonderful team of doctors, researchers, and board members who have lots of knowledge and I'd meet with them to discuss how this should look on the web. I would also talk to cancer patients and ask what they want to see. This needs to be an easy to maneuver site where nothing is sold.

This is a great idea. Families are under enough stress when trying to make decisions with such a high criticality factor. Alternative cancer treatments need to be as readily available as traditional treatments. Families have the right to make an informed decision when it comes to a loved one's health care. A centralized location where people can go to get such information would be a great start, and it would serve many benefits.
