Crimes against our environment should be treated as harshly as crimes against Humanity...
Idea Description
A mandate by the government of The United States of America would immediately upgrade crimes committed against the environment as being on the same destructive level as crimes against our species, thus equally upgrading the severity of punishment against offenders immediately, also. Once this mandate becomes absolute law, an extremely comprehensive and feasible educational program would need to be implemented that would inform ALL people that effective immediately ALL crimes against OUR planet's health will be dealt with on an equal footing as with crimes against Humanity, with no preferential treatment whether it be large corporations, governments and/ or individuals.

Q1: The largest protestors to this mandate will automatically be the rich, the powerful, the politically connected, and any/ all 'other' factions that presently benefit from blatant and/ or indirect exploitation of our planet's environment and/ or resources.
Environmental pollution, growing car admission problems, manufacturing of materials harmful to the environment, has started become a large concern for our nation in the past couple of decades. However there seems to be no great slowdown of pollution levels. Although there are multiple green marketing campaign efforts right now for alternate energy there doesn't seem to be any quickly conclusion or answer to this worldwide epidemic.
Creating laws that could incriminate the people behind the companies who put out alot of gases and products would probably make a big statement but it most people's eyes it would be highly hipicritcal. Many of us want to point the finger at large synthretic manufacturing facilities as well as oil companies but many of us individually still add to the problem everyday.
My advise would be to take a lot of your energy for change and start a local cause or movement. The push for change for the environment will ultimately have to come from the user before the supplier. What I mean is, we all need to start doing our part to set the example for other…mores. Perhaps you could look to build your organizations ideology around this principle. Good luck.
