What advice do you have to help me grow my idea?
Idea Description
Nursing Homes for senior citizens who are former drug/alcohol users, which are in need of being placed in a long term nursing home due to the damage they have caused their body by abusing drug/alcohol use. Current laws across the United States prohibit nursing homes to admit any client who had a past drug/alcohol use for accepting these types of clients. Therefore former clients who are senior citizens are left being discharged from the hospital to be placed back in the street, were they eventually die by the sword of the streets.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
I would lobby for better laws. I personally have knowledge of this issue because my friend was one these senior citizens who fell into the above category. I will be attending a reputable graduate school in Pa. for their School Of Social Policy and Practice so that I can help change the laws for the senior citizens who are former drug users in need of long term nursing care, to former drug/alcohol use. Laws for senior citizens are very strict and forcing seniors to return to a bad environment often scared.
