Q1: The biggest challenge that we are facing is the fact that this has to be seprate from our school and therefore we have no funding. Please help us out!
Idea Description
KATHY'SKURE was started at Roanoke College by the president of 2010 after our vice presidents mother passed away from breast cancer. Originally it was a walk to raise money, but next year (as well as the walk) we are planning to do a huge “big-name” benefit concert at the civic center as well as have a panel discussion.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
This non-profit organization would be completely un-attached to our school, and therefore we have no funding for this concert and other activities that we want to do next October. 10K would help us out in so many different aspects; it’s hard to list them all here. It takes a lot to put together these events and anything that will help us raise awareness about breast cancer would be excellent. It would really mean a lot.
