HOW THIS CONTEST WORKS

Every month, one eligible blobber and his or her idea wins $10,000. The community decides the winner by voting for their favorite idea.

Eight finalists compete in a monthly showdown that runs from the 22nd to the end of that month. There are two ways to become a finalist:

  1. Through a sprint (No, it does not involve sweatbands). A sprint is a weekly competition. Sprints are held during the first three weeks of every month. The two ideas receiving the most votes during each weekly sprint become finalists (6 total sprint finalists = 3 weekly sprints x 2 winners per sprint).
  2. Through most overall votes. Be one of the two ideas that have amassed the most overall votes from the beginning of the ideablob contest until the time the showdown begins (2 total most overall votes finalists).

Things to keep in mind:

Once an idea becomes a finalist, it is no longer eligible to compete in future contests unless you repost it on ideablob.com.

Your idea can still be in the finals, even if it was not a sprint winner. If your idea amasses enough votes over time it can be entered into a showdown as one of the most overall votes finalists.
